Assurant Solutions, a global provider of specialty insurance and insurance-related products, today announces the appointment of four key members to its European Executive Committee, following the recent acquisition of Lifestyle Services Group (LSG).
Darren Billings is appointed to the role of chief operations officer, Europe. Darren has served with LSG for over five years. In his new role, Darren will oversee the Assurant Solutions European operations, telesales, supply chain and IT organisations as well as the continued development of mobile protection and extended service contracts product lines. Darren has extensive operational experience and previously held senior team roles at Phones 4u, SinglePoint and the Azlan Group.
Tim Clancy is named as chief financial officer, Europe, subject to regulatory approval. Tim has been with LSG since 2011. Tim will be responsible for all financial controls and reporting as well as oversight and management of all vendor management and procurement activity across the company’s European footprint. Prior to joining LSG, he served in various senior management leadership positions including commercial finance director of Shop Direct, managing director of Going Places and finance director of Airtours.
Mark Broadhead is named of chief risk officer, Europe, subject to regulatory approval. Mark, a solicitor, has more than 25 years of experience in regulated financial services. In his new role, Mark will oversee the development of all European risk management and governance processes and procedures. Mark joined LSG in 2013. He was formerly the chief risk officer at Barbon Insurance Group.
Sue Northend is promoted to chief human resources (HR) officer, Europe. Sue, who joined Assurant Solutions in 2006, has an extensive background in organizational development and HR. Most recently, she served as the HR director at Assurant Solutions in Europe. In her new role, Sue will oversee the development of the Assurant Solutions European HR strategy, including talent acquisition, organisational development, employee relations and reward.
